Peace Within

I received the following poem as an email and was asked to pass it on to eight other women, which I did. However, I liked it so much and thought it appropriate for all of us on earth and all situations, I thought I would share it with all of you. Enjoy!

May today there be peace within.

May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possiblities that are born of faith in yourself and others.

May you use the gifts that you have received and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be content with yourself just the way you are.

Let this knowledge settle into your bones and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.

Unknown Author.

How many of us are really and truly content with who we are? Happy to you even though you might be overweight or stressed out or don't have enough time for your hobbies or reading a good book? Are you really, really content and peaceful with who you are? I wasn't...for a long time. I hated myself for being not smart enough, not skinny enough, not good enough. In Born Mad, you'll read how disliking myself led to thoughts of suicide and almost destroying every relationship in my life. But there was a happy ending for me. And there is for you and your loved ones as well.

......Robyn Wheeler is the author of Born Mad, an in-depth view of her struggle with chronic anger, frustration and thoughts of suicide and her eventual diagnosis of Dysthymia.
