Anger has Ripped My family Apart

Anger has ripped my family apart. Don't let anger destroy yours too. Many of my family members choose to not associate with other family members because they do not like them. They people that they do not like, in turn, do not like them. Anger is a ficious circle, especially if it afflicts more than one family member. Today, family birthdays and holiday get togethers include 4 people-me, my husband, my mother and my grandmother. The rest of the family stays away most likely due to their ongoing anger and resentment and the fear of judgement and anger from other in the family. In Born Mad I wrote about believing that everyone else had the problem and how friends would say to me "If you think the problem is everyone else, then most likely you are the problem." And I never believe them. But I do now-20 years later. First, one must look at themselves. Look deep, look hard. Do you like you? Do others like you? If not, then you probably need to change. I did and I do not regret it for one minute.

Please do not choose anger and depression over medication, family togetherness and happiness. The price is too great. Admit to your faults and flaws, seek help and ask for professional advice so you can work to overcome them and grow better and better everday. You owe it to yourself ....and your family.
